I will interview composer Philip Glass, one of the most renowned and influential composers of the 20th century, who will then perform with Tim Fain, emerging virtuoso violinist. This fundraising event is for the FreshFarm Markets matching dollars program.

Tickets for 6 p.m. concert at the First Congregational United Church of Christ at 945 G St NW are $175 ($75 tax deductible). Seating is general admission.

The concert will be followed by a dinner at Proof restaurant at 775 G St NW at 8 p.m. Tickets for the concert and dinner are $500 ($400 tax deductible).

I will hold a discussion with Sonoma baker Mike Zakowski about his solo baking business and participation in the global world cup of baking, the Coupe du Monde de la Boulangerie.
